Physiotherapy Department
The Department provides specialised physical rehabilitation programs for patients with disabilities arising due to various reasons. The physiotherapy treatment has application in many disciplines of modern medicine that include Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardio-thoracic, Oncology, Obstetrics, Rheumatology, Sports Medicine, etc. The team is responsible for providing pre-operative and post-operative physiotherapeutic intervention to out-patients and in-patients. The Department has a well -equipped fitness centre available for exercise and rehabilitation.
Some of the services offered are:
- Post-surgical home - based rehabilitation following discharge from hospital.
- Safe and appropriate re-conditioning exercise following prolonged inactivity or hospitalization.
- All musculo - skeletal conditions, sport injuries, Neuro-physiotherapy and rehabilitation such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries.
- Portable modalities to reduce the pain, customized to home care
- Falls risk assessment and prevention
- Prescription of walking aids
